Students from the Chrobry High School know it’s worth being hospitable. They hosted Turkish students, and now they are going to be hosted by English friends.

Comenius programme, focused on schools partnership and cooperation, is immensely popular with schools in Silesian district. In fact, they are the most enthusiastic of all schools in Poland according to  education authorities in Katowice. The second project within this programme is being carried out by Chrobry High School in Pszczyna. Teachers from England, Cyprus, Germany, Greece, Italy and Turkey together with the three Turkish students met in Poland in April, visited the school, explored unique places in the district and worked on the project ‘Self-evaluation for better education’.  Dorota Pudełko, Agata Jurczyk and Monika Nowak had this opportunity to host the three girls from Turkey. They spent a great time together practicing English, participating in Polish lessons and experiencing Polish culture. Now Polish students are going to England for a few days. “That’s amazing that our dream comes true. We can’t wait to hear English accent. It will be a real test of our linguistic skills as we have been learning English for more than 10 years”, says Dorota. Apart from improving English, the students will attend lessons in Whitley Bay High School and have this opportunity to compare educational systems between the two countries.
